GAS VERSUS ELECTRIC GOLF CARTS (CARS)

A minimum amount of time and attention to electric cars (carts) will deliver years of high performance and prove to be less maintenance, care and expense then gas cars. Electric golf cars are cleaner, quieter and more powerful than most gas golf cars.  Many golf course operators now prefer the quiet, clean and rechargeable operation of electric vehicles.  Used vehicles from golf courses (after 2 to 4 years) are recycled and/or modified for farm or ranch style estates, hospitals, resorts, parks, and special event locations, residential and commercial property use.

An electric car is simple in its operation and easy to maintain. Opening the battery caps and checking water level every 1 to 3 months (make sure the battery cell plates are covered by de-mineralised water). Overnight charging is recommended. Modern chargers have auto shutoff when batteries are fully charge.  Occasional use does not require overnight charging but if your leaving your car (cart)s unused for days, weeks or months leave the main battery terminal disconnected after fully charging (winter storage). Good fully charged batteries should not freeze until temperatures drop to minus 60 Fahrenheit. Be sure to leave your car fully charged for winter storage.

On modern electric golf cars such as the Fairplay brand, the car speed and regenerative breaking power is programmable. Ask your authorized Fairplay dealer for details. Edgegreen Ltd. will provide all the car and maintenance information required for your new or used Fairplay vehicle. For other information and more detailed maintenance tips on ez-go, or other brands contact Edgegreen Ltd. at info@edgegreen.com.

Batteries should be changed all at once (6 per car) and are 97% recyclable You can bring in your old and change them for new at Edgegreen Ltd.. Changing less than all at the same time causes new batteries to perform only to the level of the weakest battery in the linked set. We recommend Trojan deep cycle batteries for golf and utility vehicles.
